AI photo editor FAQ
12 questionsIt is an editor where you describe the change in words instead of using layers and brushes. Upload a photo, write something like "make the sky a sunset", and the model edits the photo while keeping the rest of it.
The background remover, the colorizer and 2× upscaling are free 3 times a day without an account. A free account gets 10 credits with no card, enough for 2 edits on Standard. A daily check-in adds up to 18 credits a week. After that, packs start at $9.99 for 100 credits that never expire.
Use the AI editor for anything you can describe. Use a dedicated tool when it fits the job, because it is cheaper and more precise. The background remover costs 1 credit and Remove Object lets you brush the exact spot.
The AI editor runs Seedream 5.0 Lite on Style, Nano Banana 2.1 on Standard and Nano Banana Pro on Pro. The background remover uses BiRefNet v2, the upscaler SeedVR2 (Topaz on Pro), change background uses Nano Banana 2.1, and remove object, remove people, restoration and colorizing use Nano Banana 2.
In our tests people stayed recognizable, and the pose and framing were kept. Small details can shift, so add "keep her face the same" to the prompt and compare with the original.
A background removal takes about 5 seconds. Changing a background or removing an object takes 30 to 60 seconds. Most AI editor runs took 30 to 45 seconds in our tests; big changes like removing a crowd took longer.
No. Every download is the full result with no watermark, on free and paid accounts.
If a model fails or refuses the request, the credits go back to your balance automatically.
Pack credits never expire. Monthly plans add a new batch every month, and unused plan credits carry over for one more month. Free credits do expire, the sign-up gift after 14 days and each check-in reward after 7 days. Credits closest to expiry are used first.
JPG, PNG, WEBP or HEIC up to 20 MB. The AI editor takes up to 5 photos per edit.
Uploads are never used to train models. Uploads are deleted after 1 day and results on free accounts after 30 days, and you can delete any of them yourself from My edits.
Yes. Everything runs in the browser on a phone or a computer, with no app to install. You can pick a photo straight from your camera roll.
Pricing questions
7 questionsCredit packs never expire. Subscription credits renew each month, and unused ones roll over for one extra month. Free credits expire: the sign-up gift after 14 days, and each daily check-in reward after 7 days. Credits closest to expiry are used first.
You get the credits back automatically. That covers model errors, timeouts and edits blocked by the safety filter. You never pay for an image you didn't get.
Yes. A first subscription is fully refundable within 7 days if you used less than 20% of its credits. Unused credit packs are refundable within 14 days. See the refund policy for details.
Open Settings → Billing and choose Manage subscription. You keep your credits and plan until the end of the period you paid for.
Yes, on every plan including free. Images have no watermark. You are responsible for having the rights to the photos you upload.
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay through Stripe. Some countries also see local methods at checkout.
Stripe emails a receipt for every payment, and you can download invoices from Settings → Billing. For team or volume pricing, email us.
Background remover FAQ
10 questionsYes, to start. You can remove 3 backgrounds a day without an account (images up to 2 megapixels). A free account adds 10 credits, and each removal costs 1 credit. After that, packs start at $9.99 for 100 credits and never expire.
A PNG with a transparent background, the same size as your upload. You can also pick JPG with a white or custom color fill. Changing the color after a cutout is free.
Yes. Loose hair, pet fur and see-through edges are kept as soft edges instead of hard outlines. Very fine strands against a background of the same color can still be lost; a photo with more contrast behind the hair helps.
The model keeps every object in the foreground, such as a towel next to a mug. There is no brush to remove it afterwards yet, so crop the photo to the subject before you upload, then run it again.
Usually, but check the edges. A flat subject that lies on or is printed on a surface is the hardest case, because the model can keep part of the surface or drop part of the subject. In our October 2026 tests on six such photos (logos on paper bags, a coaster, burgers and a plate of food), five came out clean and one kept a faint patch of the tray next to the fries. Objects that stand up from the background, such as a mug, a bottle or a pin badge, are easier.
JPG, PNG, WEBP and HEIC up to 20 MB. Results keep your upload size, up to 3072 px on the long edge.
Yes. Use Change Photo Background to put the subject in a scene you describe, such as a studio or a city rooftop. That uses an image model and costs 4 credits.
Uploads and results on free accounts are deleted after 30 days, and you can delete any photo yourself from My edits. We do not use your photos to train models.
Not yet. Today you run one photo at a time, and each run takes about five seconds. Batch upload is on the roadmap.
BiRefNet v2, an open segmentation model, run at 2304 px. Every result shows the model that made it.
Change photo background FAQ
10 questionsEach background change costs 4 credits. A free account starts with 10 credits, enough for 2 changes, and packs start at $9.99 for 100 credits that never expire. If a change fails, the credits come back.
The model is told to keep the subject exactly as it is, and across our 31 results from 20 photos, faces, clothing and product shapes stayed the same. Small text on the subject, such as a number plate, can be removed. If something drifts, run it again.
Describe only the background: a place, a surface and the light. For example “white marble kitchen counter in soft morning window light” or “city rooftop at golden hour, softly blurred skyline”. Do not describe the person or product.
Yes. Type “solid navy blue backdrop” or pick Clean studio white. For an exact color code or a transparent PNG, Background Remover is cheaper: 1 credit for the cutout, and any color after that is free.
Not yet. Today you describe the scene in words. To place a cutout on your own image, use Background Remover and combine the PNG with your image in any editor.
Objects in front of or around the subject, like a table, food or people at the next seat, are often kept as part of the subject. Crop closer to the subject, or remove the extra objects first with Remove Object.
Results are 2K (about 2048 px on the long edge) after any purchase and 1K on free credits, in the same aspect ratio as your upload. Use Image Upscaler for 4K.
Usually 30 to 60 seconds. You can leave the page; the result is saved in My edits.
Nano Banana 2.1, an image editing model from Google. The model name is shown on every result.
Uploads are never used to train models. Photos and results on free accounts are deleted after 30 days, and you can delete any of them yourself from My edits.
Remove object from photo FAQ
12 questionsUpload the photo, paint over the object with the brush, including its shadow, and press Remove object. In 30 to 60 seconds the area is filled to match the rest of the photo. Drag the handle to compare, then download.
Each removal costs 2 credits. A free account starts with 10 credits, enough for 5 removals, with no card needed. Packs start at $9.99 for 100 credits that never expire. If a removal fails, the credits come back.
Yes. Tourists, photobombers, strangers walking behind a group and guests holding phones are the most common removals in our tests. Brush over the whole person, including feet and shadow. The area behind them is generated, not recovered, so check faces and signs nearby.
Yes. Paint every object you want gone, then run once for 2 credits. In our tests one run removed up to four separate items, such as toys, a backpack and two pairs of shoes.
It removes date stamps, signs, graffiti and stickers when you paint over them. Remove watermarks only from photos you own or have the rights to edit. Very small embossed text, such as a logo pressed into leather, can survive the first run.
Pixels away from the brush keep their original values; the result is blended back into your upload. Right next to the brush, the AI may adjust texture or a shadow so the fill blends in. That band is feathered, so there is no hard edge.
The brush did not cover it. Paint the shadow and a little past the edge of the object, then run again. Loose strokes work better than tight ones.
Both fill a selected area with generated content. Here you paint in the browser and pay 2 credits per run, with no software to install. Photoshop gives you layers, several variations and more control, but needs a subscription and more time.
The result has the same size as your upload, up to 2048 px on the long edge. You can upload JPG, PNG, WEBP or HEIC up to 20 MB.
Usually 30 to 60 seconds. You can leave the page; the result is saved in My edits.
Nano Banana 2, an image editing model from Google, fills the brushed area. We then blend its result back into your original so the rest of the photo is unchanged. The model name is shown on every result.
Uploads are never used to train models. Photos and results on free accounts are deleted after 30 days, and you can delete any of them yourself from My edits.
Remove people from photo FAQ
12 questionsUpload the photo, type who should go, such as “the tourists behind her”, and press Remove people. In 30 to 60 seconds the people are gone and the scene behind them is filled in. Drag the handle to compare, then download.
Each run costs 2 credits. A free account starts with 10 credits, enough for 5 photos, with no card needed. Packs start at $9.99 for 100 credits that never expire. If a run fails, the credits come back.
Yes. Leave the box empty to remove everyone behind the main subject, or say who stays, such as “everyone except the man in the black hoodie”. Describing clothing works better than names or positions alone.
In our tests one run removed about twenty people from a plaza and more than twenty from a set of steps. People you did not clearly include, or very small distant figures, can stay; run it again and name them.
Type when there are many people or they are spread across the photo. Use the brush when you want to point at one person, or when words keep picking the wrong one. Both cost 2 credits.
The result is blended back into your upload, so pixels the edit did not change keep their original values. Only the areas where people were removed, and a feathered band around them, are new.
Yes. Describe them, such as “the stranger making a face behind her”. Being specific keeps the people you did not mention.
Yes. In our tests it removed two kayaks from an alpine lake and redrew the mountain reflection where they had been. Check reflections and shadows near the removed people.
The words did not cover them, or they were too small to read as a person. Run it again and say where they are, such as “the people at the doors on the right”, or switch to the brush.
The result has the same size as your upload, up to 2048 px on the long edge. You can upload JPG, PNG, WEBP or HEIC up to 20 MB.
Nano Banana 2, an image editing model from Google, removes the people. We then blend its result back into your original so unchanged areas stay as they were. The model name is shown on every result.
Uploads are never used to train models. Photos and results on free accounts are deleted after 30 days, and you can delete any of them yourself from My edits.
Image upscaler FAQ
12 questionsUpload the photo, pick 2× or 4×, and press Upscale. When it finishes, drag the handle to compare with your original and download the full-size PNG.
You can upscale up to 3 images a day at 2× without an account. A free account starts with 10 credits, enough for 5 upscales at 4×, with no card needed. Packs start at $9.99 for 100 credits that never expire.
Yes. 4K is 3840 × 2160. A photo 960 px wide reaches 4K at 4×, and a 1920 px photo at 2×. The longest side can go up to 8192 px.
Pick 2× when the photo is already close to the size you need, and 4× for small photos, thumbnails and screenshots. 4× redraws more detail. In our tests 4× also kept small print that 2× got wrong.
Pro uses Topaz, which stays closer to the input and invents less. On small, compressed photos that makes it softer than standard 4×, so we suggest standard 4× for those. It costs 10 credits.
Yes. Standard 4× keeps skin texture and freckles. Face restore is an extra step for faces that are too blurry to recognize; it rebuilds the eyes but smooths the skin.
Menus, labels, posters and book covers came back readable in our tests. Very small print, such as a weight line on a label, can turn into made-up letters, so check names, prices and numbers.
It fixes blur that comes from low resolution and compression. Strong motion blur or a missed focus is only partly fixed, and the new detail is the model’s best guess.
Up to 8192 px on the long edge. You can upload JPG, PNG, WEBP or HEIC up to 20 MB. Without an account, inputs are limited to 2 megapixels.
It is your photo with new detail drawn by AI. Shapes, colors and layout come from your input, but fine detail such as hair, text and textures is generated. Do not use it where the exact detail is evidence.
Standard 2× and 4× use SeedVR2. Pro 4× uses Topaz. Face restore uses CodeFormer before the upscale. The model name is shown on every result.
Uploads are never used to train models. Photos and results on free accounts are deleted after 30 days, and you can delete any of them yourself from My edits.
Photo restoration FAQ
12 questionsScan or photograph the print, upload it, pick a tone and press Restore. When it finishes, drag the handle to compare with your scan and download the full-size PNG.
A free account starts with 10 credits, enough for 5 restorations, with no card needed. After that, packs start at $9.99 for 100 credits that never expire, about 50 restorations.
Scratches, dust, creases, cracks in the emulsion, water stains, mold spots, tape marks, tears and missing corners, along with fading and color casts. Several kinds of damage are fixed in the same run. Dense spots can partly stay: on the 1930s bride, a few brown spots remained on the dress.
Yes. Pick Colorize before you restore. The colors are chosen to fit the era and look natural, but they are a guess, so they may not match the real clothes or eyes.
In our tests faces stayed the same people, with wrinkles and features kept. If a large part of a face is torn away or covered by a stain, the rebuilt part is new, so compare it with the scan.
No. The framing and the position of every person stayed the same in all 24 test photos. The edge of the print can change: on the porch photo, the worn, torn border came back as a clean black frame.
It balances most faded prints. Very strong magenta or orange casts can be only partly removed. Run it again, or pick black and white, which removes the cast completely.
A flatbed scanner at 600 dpi is best. With a phone, lay the print flat in daylight, hold the phone straight above it and avoid glare on glossy prints. Include the whole print and the border.
The model rebuilds damaged areas, and sometimes it adds a small detail, such as a badge or a ribbon. Run it again; results vary from run to run. Always check medals, jewelry and lettering.
About 2K, 2300 to 2600 px on the long edge, as a PNG with no watermark. For a large print, run the restored photo through the Image Upscaler.
Nano Banana 2 at 2K resolution, with a prompt that tells it to repair damage, keep the framing and faces, and not invent content. The model name is shown on every result.
Uploads are never used to train models. Photos and results on free accounts are deleted after 30 days, and you can delete any of them yourself from My edits.
Colorize photo FAQ
12 questionsScan or photograph the print, upload it and press Colorize. When it finishes, drag the handle to compare with your scan and download the full-size PNG.
Yes, to start. You can colorize 3 photos a day without an account (images up to 2 megapixels). A free account adds 10 credits, and each photo costs 2 credits. After that, packs start at $9.99 for 100 credits that never expire.
No one can know the real colors from a black-and-white photo. The model picks colors that fit the era and the scene, so skin, sky and plants look natural, but clothes, cars and eyes may not match what was really there.
Each run picks colors on its own. In our tests the same print came back with rust and red waistcoats in one run and olive and grey in the other. Run it a few times and keep the one you like.
Only with Repair on. Colorize only adds color and leaves the damage as it is. Repair removes creases, scratches, stains and tears and rebuilds missing corners in the same run, for 2 credits with a free account.
In our tests faces kept their features, expressions and wrinkles. Only the color changed. With Repair on, areas covered by a tear or stain are rebuilt, so compare those with the scan.
It keeps the composition. The position of every person stayed the same in all 28 test photos. In 8 of them the model drew a paper card or frame around a print that had none, and the tool detects that and crops it off, so those results are a few percent smaller on each side. A border the print really has is kept.
Yes. Sepia, brown and faded grey prints are treated the same way as black and white. For a faded color print, use Photo Restoration instead, which balances the existing colors.
A flatbed scanner at 600 dpi is best. With a phone, lay the print flat in daylight, hold the phone straight above it and avoid glare on glossy prints. Include the whole print and the border.
About 2K, around 2300 px on the long edge, as a PNG with no watermark. For a large print, run the result through the Image Upscaler.
Nano Banana 2 at 2K resolution, with a prompt that tells it to add color only and not add, remove or retouch anything. With Repair on, the prompt also asks it to fix damage. The model name is shown on every result.
Uploads are never used to train models. Photos and results on free accounts are deleted after 30 days, and you can delete any of them yourself from My edits.
AI image editor FAQ
14 questionsUpload a photo, write what to change and what to keep, pick a tier and press Generate. When it finishes, compare it with your photo, download the PNG, or write a follow-up prompt to change it again.
A free account starts with 10 credits, enough for 2 edits on Standard or 3 on Style, with no card needed. After that, packs start at $9.99 for 100 credits that never expire.
Each runs a different model. Style (Seedream 5.0 Lite, 3 credits) gives the strongest looks and art styles but may shift the framing a little. Standard (Nano Banana 2.1, 4 credits) is the default for most edits. Pro (Nano Banana Pro, 16 credits) handles fine detail best and needs a paid plan or a credit pack.
In our tests the person stayed recognizable in every edit, and the pose and framing were kept. Small details can change, so add "keep her face the same" to the prompt and compare the result with the original.
Yes. Quote the old and the new text, like Change "MORNING ROAST" to "EVENING ROAST". Short titles came out right on all three tiers. Check long sentences and small print letter by letter.
Yes. Add up to 5 photos and refer to them by number, for example "the coat from the second photo". Use it to dress a person in a garment, place a product in a room, or put two pets in one picture.
Yes. Write a new prompt under the result and it edits that version. Every version is kept in the history, so you can go back and branch from an earlier one.
Most edits in our tests took 30 to 45 seconds. Bigger changes took longer. Removing a crowd took 83 seconds and a hair color change 106.
Vague prompts, especially for styles and looks, can come out subtle. Describe the change in detail, or try another tier. Style gave the strongest style changes in our tests.
JPG, PNG, WEBP or HEIC up to 20 MB each, up to 5 photos per edit. The result is a PNG with no watermark.
Style returns about 2K. Standard and Pro return about 1K on free credits and about 2K once you have bought a pack or plan; on Standard our 2K results were 2048 to 2528 px on the long edge, depending on the shape of the photo. After any purchase, the 4K switch under the quality tiers returns about 4K for more credits. For a larger print, run the result through the Image Upscaler.
If the model fails or refuses the request, the credits go back to your balance automatically, and you can change the prompt and try again.
Fake documents, sexual content, edits that put real people in misleading situations and anything else the terms of use forbid. The models block many of these requests; if a request is blocked, the credits go back.
Uploads are never used to train models. Photos and results on free accounts are deleted after 30 days, and you can delete any of them yourself from My edits.
